Previously LS Retail was a department within Landsteinar Strengur, but it has now been decided that the timing is right due to the increasing business volume of LS Retail to give it even more focus by running it as a separate entity.

As an independent company, LS Retail will become a pure Independent Software Vendor totally focused on developing and marketing its world-leading range of Retail and Hospitality solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV/AX and Microsoft .NET software.

Landsteinar Strengur hf. will concentrate on implementation projects and further development of other ISV solutions for the local Icelandic market as well as the international market.

Mr. Ingvar Kristinsson who has led the LS Retail Team for the last four years decided earlier this year to leave the company.  He will, however, act as the Managing Director of LS Retail ehf. until a new managing director has been appointed.

Commenting on the development Mr. Kristinsson said: ‘The increasingly sophisticated and specialized nature of LS Retail requires a very high degree of both technical and marketing focus. By establishing LS Retail ehf. we will be best placed to serve our partners and to continue to push forward the boundaries of our field in the years to come. We have continually delivered product innovations and the time is now right to progress as an independent company.’
