Landsteinar Stengur wins Microsoft Dynamics Regional Partner of the Year Award
Awards recognize partner innovation using Microsoft technologies

Microsoft Corp. announced last night the winners of the 2007 Microsoft(R) Partner Program Awards. The award winners were chosen from a group of finalists from around the world.

The awards recognize Microsoft Registered, Certified and Gold Certified partners that have developed exemplary solutions for their customers during the past year. More than 1,800 entries were submitted by partners worldwide, and winners were selected based on their dedicated use of Microsoft technologies to provide customer solutions. The winners were honoured at an awards ceremony at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2007, the company's premier annual partner event taking place July 10-12 in Denver, Colorado.

‘The Partner Program Awards gives Microsoft the distinct pleasure of recognizing Registered, Certified and Gold Certified partners that have demonstrated exceptional levels of innovation and value to customers,’ said Allison L. Watson, corporate vice president of the Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft. ‘The winners demonstrate our diverse and talented partner ecosystem that continues to raise the bar in the design and deployment of customer solutions built on Microsoft technologies.’

The award accentuates the success Landsteinar Strengur has had in the last months, since the LS Retail solution from Landsteinar Strengur was recently certified for Microsoft Dynamics NAV – Microsoft’s highest Standard for Partner Software Solutions.  LS Retail achieved this certification by passing the new Microsoft Dynamics software compatibility test and securing recommendations through at least ten customer references. Certification was only possible because Landsteinar Strengur is a Microsoft Gold Certified partner and has a Microsoft Support Plan service agreement.

“We are very honoured to accept this award and are pleased to be recognized by Microsoft”, says Sigurjon Petursson, CEO Landsteinar Strengur. “Microsoft is not only the source of our customer base, but is also a great partner to work with. We share a common goal and will continue to grow together with Microsoft. Our main aim will always be that our partners, customers and prospects will have the comfort and assurance of knowing that they are making a safe investment by choosing our retail solutions. We are thrilled that Microsoft acknowledges our hard work and commitment. ”
