K3 and LS Retail Customer Recognized
for Outstanding Business Achievements
Gamestop, a customer of K3 and LS Retail was recently honoured by
Microsoft® with a 2007 Customer Excellence Award for outstanding
business achievements. Gamestop received recognition for its
Customer Excellence Award for Retail Industry Leadership at
Convergence 2007 Copenhagen, an annual Microsoft customer
conference.
The Customer Excellence Awards, established in 1997, are presented
yearly and recognize Microsoft Dynamics customers that have achieved
notable accomplishments with their Microsoft Dynamics applications.
Microsoft Dynamics customers, partners and team members contributed
Customer Excellence Award nominations.
The 2007 Customer Excellence Awards were presented in 12 categories:
Education, Environmental Sustainability, Evangelism, Innovation,
International Implementation, Microsoft Technologies, Distribution
Industry Leadership, Manufacturing Industry Leadership, Public
Sector Industry Leadership, Retail Industry Leadership, Services
Industry Leadership and Overall Excellence.
Gamestop was selected for the Customer Excellence Award for Retail
Industry Leadership because of its innovative use of Microsoft
technologies to deliver measurable benefits to its organization and
customers.
GameStop Europe, part of GameStop, the largest specialist retailer
of video games in the world, selected the LS Retail and K3 retail
management system to manage all stores in Europe, Canada and
Australia.
The £2 million contract was awarded against stiff competition from a
number of US and Global IT vendors, but GameStop chose K3 following
the success of the solution in its Irish stores, where Microsoft
Dynamics NAV manages the whole product sales cycle, from purchasing
to store allocation.
K3 are installing a Microsoft Dynamics NAV central system covering
Inventory Management, Merchandising, Replenishment, Warehousing &
Distribution, and Financial Management for these regions and
managing the data from thousands of stores.
