Fabric Warehouse, a UK specialist
fabric retailer with 40 stores nationwide, has purchased IT systems,
software and services from K3, the UK’s largest provider of
Microsoft Dynamics, to run its entire business.
Fabric Warehouse made the move in anticipation of the conclusion of
its IT services agreement with former group company Rosebys,
following the latter’s acquisition by GHCL. Starting from scratch,
Fabric Warehouse in partnership with K3, is implementing financial,
human resources, payroll, point of sale and merchandising systems
based on Dynamics NAV, part of the Microsoft Dynamics suite.
Fabric Warehouse’s Finance Director, Glenn Aungles, has overall
responsibility for the project, heading a team that reviewed
solutions from Prologic, Great Plains, BT Expedite, Sage and K3,
finally choosing K3 because the company was able to offer a complete
and integrated solution, which could be integrated and fully
operational within five months.
Aungles said, “Our expectation is that the new systems will give us
important central reporting benefits, enabling us to optimise
merchandising, planning, allocation and replenishment. This is a
highly functional system that gives us industry best practice.”
The K3 team is headed up by Paul Makin, Sales Director, who
commented “This is a very exciting project for K3 which will call
upon our considerable experience and expertise. We are fully
committed to working with Fabric Warehouse to ensure that the
solution is delivered in good time for the end of their arrangements
with Rosebys”.
